Adjacent to the Maumee River in Northwest Ohio, Napoleon is the county seat of Henry County. Our city is located on U.S. 24, a four-lane limited access highway stretching from Ft. Wayne, IN, 60 miles to the west to Toledo, OH, 40 miles to the east. The Ohio Turnpike (Interstates 80/90) is less than a 20 minute commute. These highways, together with the major north-south Interstate in the eastern United States (I-75) - a 30 minute drive, provide excellent land transportation. Within 2-3 hours, one can reach such destinations as Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Lansing, Michigan.
Local air transportation is available at Henry County Airport. The Toledo Express Airport is an approximate 35 minute commute, while the Ft. Wayne International Airport can be reached in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Our City offers exceptional municipal services – light and power, water distribution, waste water collection, streets, construction, refuse and recycling, etc. These services are governed locally and as a citizen, you can have direct input into their operations. We offer reliable service at an economical price.
Napoleon Area City Schools provide education for our youth. Bowling Green State University is just a 30 minute commute for those who wish to further their education close to home. The University of Toledo and the University of Findlay can both be reached in less than an hour.  Northwest State Community College is 15 minutes away.
Our parks and recreational opportunities provide a variety of leisure choices, including over 20 miles of boating. In addition, our Napoleon Municipal Golf Course offers a beautiful 9-hole layout.
