Community Profile

While conveniently located at the crossroads of two major interstate highways (I-94 and I-69), the Marshall community has a rich heritage and welcoming, small-town feel. Streets are lined with stately homes, many of them built in the late 19th century. The city offers an unparalleled quality of life, numerous arts and cultural activities, community festivals, parks and playgrounds, museums and galleries, both new and traditional residential developments, an award-winning hospital, excellent public schools, and safe and well-maintained neighborhoods. Marshall remains tucked away from the hectic pace of larger cities.

Located in Marshall, Michigan is The Brooks Industrial & Research Park. At “The Brooks,” you will enjoy state-of-the-art amenities in a scenic wetland setting. Here you can leverage all the advantages of our leading-edge facilities while enjoying the natural beauty of our incredible surroundings. In short, you can enjoy working where business doesn’t feel so much like work.

Marshall Township has one of the largest pieces of vacant land zoned industrial with railroad between Detroit and Chicago. The land totals approximately 750 acres. This site was considered for the Volkswagen plant when they were considering Michigan. More acreage could potentially be added to this site if needed.

Due to our great location at the crossroads of I-94 and I-69, Marshall is very close to many larger city amenities. Michigan State University, The University of Michigan, and Western Michigan University are all within an hour’s drive. Our potential workforce can be found as far away as Kalamazoo, Lansing, Ann Arbor, or even Northern Indiana. Our location also allows us to service a large area as well. Cleveland, Ohio; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Chicago, Illinois are all 3-4 hours away. Toronto, Ontario is approximately 6 hours away.

Our people are friendly and hospitable. The City of Marshall and its citizens work together to keep our community a great place to work, play, and live. We invite you to be a part of it. Give us a call to arrange a visit. We know you’ll enjoy the experience.
