Community Profile

Centrally located between Findlay and Fostoria on State Route 12, Arcadia, Ohio, is approximately 15 minutes from Interstate 75. U.S. 23, a 10 minute commute, and U.S. 20 & the Ohio Turnpike, both within 45 minutes, also provide easy accessibility to our village. These byways allow one to drive to Chicago, Illinois; Frankfort, Kentucky; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; within 4-5 hours. For those longer commutes, Toledo Express Airport is reachable in less than an hour.

We are part of the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation who is dedicated to improving the county’s quality of life “through collaborative leadership, responsible grant making, and development of philanthropic giving”. Our village operates a municipal electric distribution system; as well as a municipal water distribution system and a municipal sanitary sewer collection system, both with Ohio EPA certified operators. Municipally owned utilities allow citizens a direct hand in their operations. Citizens elect representatives to the Board/Council and are able to attend their open meetings to voice concerns. Whenever one has a utility issue, they only need to make a local phone call or stop up the street to speak with someone about the situation. There are great benefits in having local personnel working for our constituents.

Our youth are educated at Arcadia Local Schools which has been rated “excellent” by the State. It is their goal to give “all graduates the knowledge and skills to succeed in an ever-changing world”. Upon graduation from our local schools, there are a variety of options for higher education. The University of Findlay is just 9 miles from Arcadia, while Bowling Green State University, Ohio Northern University in Ada, Owens Community College – Toledo Campus, and the University of Toledo are all within 20-40 miles.

One must stop by and visit our community to truly see what we have to offer. Someone will be happy to show you around.
