Interstate 75 provides quick access to the Village of Bloomdale, 5 minutes to the east. Located 50 minutes from the Toledo Express Airport and 34 minutes south of the Ohio Turnpike, we are able to access large cities in relatively short periods of time. A 4-5 hour drive can take you to places such as Chicago, Illinois; Lexington, Kentucky; Charleston, West Virginia; or Erie Pennsylvania.

Bloomdale Municipal Light & Power operates and maintains the local electric distribution system. As a resident, you may participate in the election to choose your representatives on the board/council, and may express any concerns at their open meetings. As a “public power” entity, we are owned by the citizens of the community and strive to provide our constituents with reliable, economically-priced energy. When an outage occurs, local personnel respond instantaneously. Any electrical concern can be discussed with local people.

Our school-age children attend Elmwood Local Schools. For those who wish to continue their education close to home, The University of Findlay can be driven in approximately 16 minutes while Bowling Green State University can be reached in approximately 25 minutes. Ohio Northern University and the University of Toledo are both attainable within an hour.
