Located in Tuscarawas County, Dover is within 500 miles of one-half the population of the U.S. and Canada and more than half of U.S. manufacturing. The city is adjacent to Interstate 77 which provides access to many other venues. Cleveland-Hopkins, Port Columbus International Airport and Pittsburgh International Airports can all be reached within 1 ½ – 1 ¾ hours. New Philadelphia’s airport, less than 10 minutes down the road, can handle most corporate aircraft. Our highway arteries make traveling by car to Indianapolis, IN; Detroit, MI; Rochester, NY; Harrisburg, PA; and Lexington, KY an easy 4-6 hour drive.

One has the opportunity to further their education nearby at Kent State University – Tuscarawas Campus, or one of the other colleges/universities at North Canton and Akron which can be driven within an hour.

Dover City Park offers a swimming pool, miles of walking trails, a professional Disc Golf course, baseball/softball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, and pavilions for picnicking. Deis Hill provides sledding during those snowy winters, and Memorial Hall serves as a year-round multi-purpose facility which includes a full-size basketball court and a large gathering hall.
