Jackson Center is in the center of things!

Centered at the intersection of State Route 274 and State Route 65 in the northeast part of Shelby county, we offer a great commercial, industrial, and residential location. Our village is within 7 miles of Interstate 75 which makes for easy north/south ingress and egress; making one able to reach Dayton International Airport in less than one hour. Via U.S. Route 33 (11 miles from Jackson Center) a drive to the State Capital or Port Columbus International Airport can be accomplished within 1 ½ hours. Major cities such as Lexington, Kentucky; Charleston, West Virginia; Chicago, Illinois; and Grand Rapids, Michigan can all be driven in less than 5 hours.

Our village provides reliable, economical utilities including water, sewer, and electric; and our utility rates are lower than our neighbors. Our fire department has an ISO fire rating of 4 which may result in lower insurance premiums for your business. We realize the importance of education in any locating decision. The district provides a innovative curriculum and schedule for elementary and middle school children that is designed to fit the individual needs of all students. For example, our teachers specialize in subjects starting at the kindergarten level so even 5 and 6 yr olds change classes during the day. Our school is just one of two in the county to offer Advanced Placement classes. Jackson Center School also offers Dual Enrollment courses through Urbana University. Higher education opportunities are available within easy driving distance: Edison State Community College (Piqua), Ohio State University (Lima), University of Northwestern Ohio (Lima), Rhodes College (Lima), and Wright State University Lake Campus (Celina). Major campuses such as Ohio State University (Columbus), Wright State University (Dayton), University of Dayton, and Bowling Green State University can be driven in less than 90 minutes.

Recreational opportunities are also available. The Village of Jackson Center is proud to offer an 8 acre municipal park (Wally Byam Memorial Park) on the east side of town. The park features a municipal pool with a spray park, covered shelter houses, restrooms, picnic areas, four lighted tennis courts, three basketball courts, and playground equipment.
