Community Profile

With access to the Ohio Turnpike, I-76, rail, and/or air transfer points, Newton Falls is the perfect location for investors and developers. Our surrounding highway system makes driving to Youngstown (30 min.), Akron (43 min.), Cleveland (1 hr. 4 min.), and Pittsburgh (1 ½ hr.) easy commutes. Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport is approximately an hour drive.

Our city offers excellent municipal utilities: water, wastewater, electric distribution; as well as streets maintenance. In addition to our parks, we are home to the second oldest covered bridge in Ohio which sits on the east branch of the Mahoning River. This bridge includes a unique pedestrian walkway.

Local students attend Newton Falls Public Schools or a family may choose to send their students (K-8) to a private, Catholic school also located in our community. Several opportunities exist to further one’s education within a 30 minute drive, i.e. Kent State –Trumbull and Trumbull Business College in Warren; Hiram College in Hiram; Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine & Pharmacy (NEOUCOM) in Rootstown, and Youngstown State in Youngstown. Akron University, Kent State University (main campus), and Cleveland State University can also be reached within an hour.

Mayor, City Council, City Manager, and staff work aggressively for the betterment of our community now as well as in the future. Our staff serves with courtesy and professionalism. No community in the State of Ohio will do more to make you feel at home. If there is anything we can do to assist you with an investment decision, don’t hesitate to contact us. We invite you to work with us toward a better tomorrow!
