Four State Routes (SR 29, SR 66, SR 703, and SR 116) intersect our City. In addition, State Route 364 lies just to the west of town. Via U.S. 33, Interstate 75 (a primary north-south access through the eastern United States) is just a 15 minute commute. Utilizing these highways, one can reach metropolitan areas such as Toledo, Columbus, and Cincinnati, Ohio, and Ft. Wayne Indiana, within two hours. Accessibility is important in any relocation decision, and we are accessible.

However, St. Marys has much to offer without leaving town. We are one of few communities to offer municipal water, wastewater, electric distribution, street maintenance, refuse pickup, and recycling. Our goal is to provide quality, reliable, and economical services to our citizens. Likewise, our safety forces provide quality patrol, fire protection, and paramedic services. As municipal services, they are governed locally, by people you elect to Council.

Middle school and high school students began the 2010-2011 school year in new, up-to-date facilities just north of U.S. 33. Remodeling was also completed at other facilities. St. Marys Schools belong to the Tri-Star Career Compact whereby students may choose to obtain technical/career training. Other colleges/universities within an hour’s drive include Ohio Northern University in Ada, the University of Findlay, and Edison State College in Piqua.

The City of St. Marys maintains 11 city parks offering sports fields, courts, playground areas, fishing pond, snow hill, etc. Memorial Park, in the center of town, is a beautiful park reflecting on the contributions of our veterans and the community’s early history. It consists of a WWI monument, canons, canal boat, covered bridge, clock tower, and a memorial walkway. Heritage Park in downtown further displays the heritage of St. Marys and reflects on our international relationships with Lienen, Germany, and Awaji City, Japan.
