Community Profile

Every city claims to cater to your business needs, but Tipp City, Ohio’s location and strengths make us the contender for your business.  In short, Tipp City is a community committed to economic development, while maintaining a small town atmosphere and quality of life. Tipp City offers:  quick access to interstates, rail, and air transportation; plenty of land with utilities on-site; all with a low cost of doing business.
Access! Located in west-central Ohio, Tipp City provides your business with direct access to interstates, rail and air transportation. By highway, I-75 bisects the City (two exits) with I-70 only minutes away.  By rail, the CSX railroad line runs north and south directly through town. And by air, the Dayton International Airport (DAY) is only 10 miles from Tipp City!  Within 600 miles of Tipp City is 64% of the U.S. population; 63% of all U.S. Manufacturers; and 80% of U.S. corporate headquarters.
Land! There are over 450 “shovel ready” acres of industrially zoned land with existing utilities on-site; including over 100 acres with l-75 frontage. Our City operates and maintains municipal electric, water, and sewer services. Our goal is to provide top quality utility services at reasonable rates, and to respond quickly to customer concerns and needs.
Low Cost of Doing Business! Tipp City was, in 2010, ranked lowest annual local governmental cost among a survey of 27 Dayton area communities, with a low 1.25% local income tax, no school district tax, and the Tipp City’s Municipal Electric utility providing a 10%-15% lower rate than the local investor-owned electric utility.
Tipp City’s quality of life includes: an “excellent” K-12 School District as rated by the State of Ohio, an intact Canal Era Downtown Shopping District, extensive 750 acre park system, diverse housing stock (historic homes to modern suburban houses), and four colleges/universities are within 30 minutes of Tipp City. A vast array of parks, museums, and cultural events are also available in the Dayton-Springfield metropolitan area.
