With easy access to four major highways, Lansdale, Pennsylvania, is a small community with a spirit of togetherness. Together, we can accomplish many things. If one wants to enjoy a day in a robust metropolitan area, they are not far away. Interstate 476 is an approximate 7 minute drive, Interstate 76 & 276 – 30 minutes, and Interstate 95 an approximate 35 minute drive. These highways make trips to Philadelphia or Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Trenton, New Jersey; Dover, Delaware; or New York City, New York, a relatively short commute (45 minutes – 2 hours).
We are proud to maintain and operate our own municipal electric distribution and wastewater systems. These departments are governed locally, provide quality service, and respond in a timely manner. You can call someone locally for any assistance you might need.
North Penn School District provides public education for our youth. If preferred, one may opt to send their children to the local parochial school. There are several options for advanced learning in or near Lansdale, including: Desales University Lansdale Branch, Lansdale School of Business, DeVry University (Ft. Washington), and Gwynedd-Mercy College (Gwynedd Valley).
More than twenty parks and recreational facilities exist in our community for your enjoyment and relaxation. They include the traditional baseball/softball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, playgrounds, trails, gazebo, swimming pools, seating areas, and picnic areas. In addition, our parks offer an amphitheater, stage, pond, veteran’s memorial area, and lots of open spaces. There is something for everyone!
